Coffee Filter Poppy
What You Need
- 2 basket type coffee filter
- red craft paint
- 1 green chenille stem
- 1 medium black pom pom
- white craft glue
How To Make It
Protect your work surface with an old plastic tablecloth or newspaper. Lay the coffee filter flat with your hand and paint it red. The paint will seep through and leave the other side of the filter spotty. Paint the other side. Repeat for the second coffee filter and set both aside to dry.
- While craft paint will give you a vibrant red, you can also use watercolor paints, crayons, markers, or food coloring.
- If you don’t have coffee filters or want to avoid mess, you can substitute red tissue paper or even construction paper.
- Another fun option would be to use a black button instead of the pom pom.
