These beautiful springtime hats are perfect for Easter and Mother’s Day! Adults “shrink” Styrofoam cups in the oven and then turn them over to the kids to paint and decorate.
After several tries I finally got it. I live in the south and I do not know if that has anything to do with it or not. But the lower temperatures did not work for me, so I started going up and finally at 320 degrees done the trick. And I also found that if I wanted complete flat brim hats all I had to do is pull the rack out and very gently push the curled edges down. Worked like a charm. I am having a ball painting and decorating my spring hats. Thank you so much for this idea.

So glad Pat! It’s definitely an experiment for everyone. I’m sorry you had so much trouble but so glad it all worked out!
