Have some Halloween fun with this glitter paint craft! You can use this technique to create an infinite variety of different designs.
I love Halloween crafts for kids because it’s the perfect time of year to let your imagination run wild! From silly to scary, there are endless possibilities. You could even make lettering to use for making Halloween signs!
Halloween Fun with Glitter Paint
This is a great project for kids of all ages, from preschoolers on up to tweens and teens. And since these are made with glitter paint, instead of decorated with loose glitter, they are super sparkly without any of the glitter shedding mess!
Make the glitter paint designs as simple or as complex as you like. Easy shapes like a basic pumpkin shape are great for younger kids, while older kids may enjoy the challenge of creating a design with more fine details.
When finished, your glitter paint shapes can be used as embellishments for all kinds of other projects!

Supplies needed for this glitter paint craft
- Parchment paper
- Craft Twinkles glitter paint writers in Halloween colors
You can use coloring pages or character print outs you find online. Or if you like, simply freehand a simple pumpkin, monster, bat or mummy! Place the drawing or print out underneath the parchment paper. Staple or tape it to keep it from moving around.
Draw with the writer paints, filling in the solid areas so that there are no gaps.
Your completed pictures will need to dry overnight.
Test them carefully by gently touching your finger to the surface of the character. If it’s dry, carefully lift a corner and remove the character slowly from the parchment paper.
Use to decorate notebooks, bulletin boards, scrapbooks, or anything else you like!
