Here’s a fun recycling project that turns food containers in musical instruments by covering the containers with colorful wrapping paper and then filling them with dried beans or rice. Hand them over to the kids to shake, rattle and roll!

Thank you so much for sharing our instruments. These are still one of my daugther’s very favorite toys. She shakes them, bangs them and even stacks them. Don’t forget if you’re using with little ones to make sure to use adult supervision with handmade toys and the containers are tightly sealed with hot glue. They are just as fun empty too as drums!
